Derby County vs. Aston Villa, live stream: Team news, game time and how to follow online

We’ve got everything you need to follow Aston Villa’s trip to Derby County.

The match in which we get to see what could have been. Nigel Pearson, manager of hosts Derby County, was the odds-on favorite to become the manager of Aston Villa for most of the early part of the off season.

Instead, Tony Xia bought the club and brought in Roberto Di Matteo, who has led Villa to a 1-1-1 record in the Championship. And who is just ten minutes of regular time from actually having a 2-1-0 record thus far. So really, things aren’t going too badly. But still, we’re left to wonder what it would have been like with Nigel Pearson in charge.

If results are any indicator (they’re not) Villa already made the right choice. Derby County are at the same 1-1-1 record, but their goal differential of -1 pales in comparison to Villa’s lofty +2. That’s what happens when you only score one goal in your first three matches, though.

But it’s a trip on the road, and that’s always tough. If Villa can keep their heads about them, they’ve got a very real chance at a win. If not, we can expect agony like we’ve had three times already this season.

The match is on TV, but we’re still embedding the Twitter stream of accounts that will be live-tweeting the match below. That way, if you can’t get to a TV, you’re still covered.
