Will he, won’t he? With Ross McCormack, Villa have been blowing hot and cold for a number of weeks now.

That is, until today. The Daily Mail have revealed that Aston Villa have lodged a bid of £12 million with Fulham in order to snatch the highly-rated Scottish forward away from relegated rivals Norwich at the eleventh hour.

The Birmingham Mail reported that Villa had been asked for £15 million by the Londoners, but the truth might be somewhere in-between £12 and £15.

Ross scored 23 goals for the struggling Cottagers and is a seriously enticing option for an Aston Villa side who have lacked serious firepower ever since Christian Benteke moved to Liverpool.

The signing of McCormack will seriously boost the optimism around Villa Park, should Ross make the move from Craven Cottage as Villa fans have been awaiting the signing of a marquee forward ever since Tony Xia bought the club.
