Still yet to link up with new manager Roberto Di Matteo's new look Aston Villa squad following the Copa America, Carlos Sánchez may end up leaving the club this summer.

After Colombia lost to Chile in the Copa semifinal in Chicago, I talked to Sánchez, who said he'd be sticking around. However, it wasn't really convincing, with the defensive midfielder stating that he'd be staying at Villa because he's under contract.

Now, according to a report at La Provence, France's Olympique de Marseille are interested in Sánchez, after being warded off by Idrissa Gana Gueye's £7 million price tag. Various other reports have mentioned a price between two million Euros and three million Pounds Sterling for Sánchez, but it's clear that OM are looking for a bargain.

Despite excelling at the international level for Los Cafeteros, the 30-year-old Sánchez has struggled to find consistency in his time at Villa. The price is a little low, but plenty of fans would be happy to see him move on to clear space for a younger player in the midfield.

Do you think Villa should hold on to the curly haired Colombian? Or are you happy to see Sánchez leave? Let us know in the comments!
