Aston Villa sign five year kit deal with American giants

Under Armour will take over from Macron for the next five years.

After a number of leaks and a pretty fancy marketing campaign, Aston Villa have today revealed that they will be working with Under Armour going forward as their primary gear manufacturer and sponsor.

This deal is set to run until 2021 and could be quite lucrative for the Villans if they return to the Premier League.

Under Armour have creatively earmarked their first season as the 'Fight Like Lions' campaign and are set to 'arm Aston Villa to ensure that the club can fight like lions'.

We've heard the slogan before, but it just seems cooler now.

Here's what Keith Wyness, Aston Villa Chief Executive, had to say about the deal:

"We are delighted to have signed a long term deal with such an innovative brand as Under Armour. As a Club, we share similar ambitions as Under Armour and will, therefore, be able to pull together to get us back to the top tier of English football, where we belong."

Villa will release their new kits today at 12 noon (just under three hours away) and you can see them here later.
