Are Villa set to make a move for this U.S born keeper?

Boaz Myhill came through the Aston Villa youth team after moving over from the United States and in an interesting twist of fate, could be set to replace Brad Guzan for Villa next season as the Express and Star are reporting.

No longer wanted by a West Bromwich Albion team he has barely featured for, Villa could certainly make a move for Boaz on the cheap (which, you know is good considering Villa's takeover by the Recon Group could yet fall apart).

Aston Villa need a new goalkeeper, even if Brad Guzan stays at the club and there are better options for the Villans - especially if they choose to pursue former England stopper Rob Green or even QPR's Alex Smithies.

With that being said, Boaz Myhill is a cheap, solid upgrade over Mark Bunn and is someone with a large amount of international experience stemming from his time with the Welsh National Team (his mother's nationality). He'd be a good option and there's no reason for Villa to turn their nose up at the prospect of Boaz tending the goals at Villa Park
