It's been a couple of weeks since we brought you a new Holtecast episode, and a few things have happened at Aston Villa in that time period.
First and foremost, it's the moment we'd been waiting for since we heard there was a successful sale of the club; Dr. Tony Xia passed the Fit-and-Proper-Person Test, and finally the transfer of all assets from Randy Lerner is complete.
And with a new owner comes a new manager. Roberto Di Matteo was Xia's preferred man, and with transfer season just a week from getting fully underway, it's an exciting time in B6.
One signing has already been made in the form of Tommy Elphick, a central defender and Bournemouth's former captain who was an integral part of the Cherries side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2014-15. Looking for dependability? Elphick played in all 46 Football League Championship matches, and went the full 90 every time but once.
Summer international tournaments were mentioned in the headline, and we have the interview audio from Jack talking to Carlos Sánchez in the episode as well.
Finally, James took a stab at speaking Welsh. He's going to try Icelandic next time.
