I think that most of us gave up the last vestiges of hope after we watched Aston Villa let six goals past in their defeat to Liverpool. So now we can settle in and figure out what it's like to watch football without consequence as Villa head to Stoke City.
And that's actually really bizarre if you think about it. Villa, in the past few years, have played very few matches without consequence. Usually they were working to save themselves from relegation, but every once in a while they were trying (and failing) to win a cup. But this? This is some good ol' meaningless footie. Which means that it should be just about the time that Villa come alive and win 1-5. At least that's what I'm going with.
Below you'll find everything you need to follow along with the match. It may be meaningless, but it's still football. And come late June, you'll be wishing you had even this. Let's just enjoy it.
