After Leandro Bacuna’s 15th-minute goal, Aston Villa seemed to be flying. But then they let in one from Jamie Ward in the 30th and by all accounts started playing bad football. The fans at Villa Park were getting restless, and scattered boos and jeers rang out around a sold-out Villa Park.

But Ross McCormack is a jolly man, and he wants you to have a lovely Boxing Day. “Don’t come to Villa Park and walk away sadly,” says Ross. “Why not spend your day celebrating this lovely little goal that I’ve scored?”

Thank you Ross! That’s the best present that anyone got us this year. Villa lead 2-1 thanks to your efforts.
