Jonathan Kodjia can’t stop scoring. He scored twice for Villa Saturday afternoon to lead Steve Bruce’s men to a 2-1 win over Blackburn. Mile Jedinak collected the ball in the Villa midfield and advanced it forward for Kodjia, who sprinted towards goal from the left wing, and poked it by Blackburn goalkeeper Jason Steele to give Villa the lead with just over 20 minutes to go.
Kodjia, however, was injured in the process of collecting his second goal of the day. He was forced to exit just a few minutes later, as Steve Bruce opted to bring in Ashley Westwood to protect the Villa lead.
