Aston Villa have today announced that Janoi Doncacien has joined League Two side Newport County on a month long loan deal.

21 year old centre back Donacien is no stranger to loan deals, and this is his second of this season alone, having recently returned from a month long spell at Wycombe Wanderers FC, also of League Two. Whilst at Wycombe, Donacien featured twice, in a draw against Dagenham and a win over Hartlepool respectively. Prior to this he spent the entire 2014-15 season at Tranmere Rovers, but was unable to prevent their relegation from League Two in his 31 appearances.

Newport County will be hoping that Donacien's experience in relegation battles will be of use, as the side from South Wales currently sit in 24th place, the very bottom of the football league. Donacien meanwhile will be hoping to impress Tim Sherwood and Aston Villa after failing to make the 25 man squad for the Premier League this season. With his Villa contract set to expire at the end of the season, time is running out for him.
