Well, I guess we don't have to worry about Christian Benteke scoring a hat-trick against his former team on Saturday. Nor about whether or not he'd celebrate or kiss his new badge or any of that hogwash. No, instead we won't have to worry about Benteke at all, since he's gone and hurt his hamstring and won't play in the match. Liverpool will be without the man who has scored 50% of their Premier League goals this season and Aston Villa will be without a massive headache.

I hold no animosity whatsoever towards Benteke for heading to Liverpool this summer. He treated Villa well and he made his intentions of leaving well known. There was no nefarious behavior as we saw with some other players. And I imagine I speak for most Villa fans when I say I wish Benteke nothing but the best. I hope he becomes one of the greatest strikers in the world.

But I'm certainly glad that he won't have the chance to tear apart Villa's defense. The thought of him running at Jordan Amavi, Joleon Lescott, Micah Richards, and Leandro Bacuna was enough to keep me awake at night. This doesn't mean that the Liverpool match will be an easy affair now, but it certainly means that it's less worrying than it was. Get well soon, Christian. Like, on Sunday.
