We've known that Aston Villa would be a part of the FA Cup semifinal for a few weeks now. What we haven't known is who their opponent would be. Thanks to a goalless draw at Anfield, Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers had to have a replay today at Ewood Park. Liverpool came away the 0-1 winners thanks to a 70th-minute goal from Phillippe Coutinho and now have the dreaded task of taking on the claret and blue steamroller at Wembley.
Sure, Liverpool are the more tough of the two possible matchups, And sure, things are bad at Villa right now. But in an attempt to start some baseless smack talk with our Liverpool blog, this conversation happened on twitter:
@7500toHolte We'll get started on it once we get done bemoaning that we've thrown away the top four and everything's on fire.

So yeah, things aren't all that great in the world of Liverpool either. And heck, it's one match that's not at Villa Park. Villa have already beaten Liverpool once this season, so why not twice?
We're not scared. Bring it, ya Reds. We'll still whoop you.
//hides. //is actually scared.
