If you believe in Narrative™, this match is all about Tim Sherwood returning to Tottenham Hotspur a bitter and angry man. He's in search of revenge, and he wants blood. The fact that Aston Villa could help secure their future by stealing points at White Hart Lane is completely beside the point.
But if you don't follow all of that, this is your standard intriguing match of football. The Sherwood angle is fascinating, but nearly as fascinating as the recent implosion of the Spurs midfield. Or as the seemingly endless free-fall of the once-proud Villa. Or the fact that Villa have been on a (relative) scoring tear lately and have a chance to nick their first win against Spurs since 2008. We're never sure what we'll get with Tim Sherwood, but thus far the answer has always been at least exciting.
