Adebayor: It's not happening (on loan, at least)

Please don't even suggest it, Adebayor can't move on loan.

As is usual for today, a few rumours are circulating the 'net after the apparent collapse of Aston Villa's move for Liverpool's Rickie Lambert.

There's a number of reasons why the above deal won't work for Villa. Adebayor has a notorious personality and even though he may be the man we need, he's not the mind we want (thanks Thomas for that one). Villa don't need another stroppy striker, we're already developing our own one!

There's also the fact that he cannot move on loan. Villa already have their two domestic loan deals sorted in the form of Tom Cleverley and Scott Sinclair. This means that Villa would need to spend some money and fork out another extortionate wage. Is a full move worth it? No.

So unless Villa pull it together and send Cleverley packing (rumour has it that he is having a bit of a flirt with Everton), there's no chance that Villa take a risky move and bring in Adebayor, especially on a permanent transfer.
