Callum Robinson has completed his move 'back' to Preston North-End on a loan deal for the rest of the season. This new development will come as little surprise to Villa fans, who were probably a little bit stunned by the fact that Villa bothered to recall the youngster in the first place, seeing as academy prospects will need first team experience to, you know, develop.

This deal seems to hint that Villa may be making room for Rickie Lambert, as Robinson was recalled to backup Benteke in the absence of the newly fit Libor Kozak (even though we had Darren Bent, but forget that). If Lambert does move to Villa, then Robinson would fall behind him, Kozak and Benteke in the pecking order at Villa Park. Robinson is one of Aston Villa's brightest prospects alongside Jack Grealish and will look to impress on this spell, which marks his second stint in Preston in the space of four months.
