After another loss against Swansea, Tim Sherwood's job is hanging in the balance, with the Villa manager set to know whether he'll lose his job in the next 48 hours according to the Birmingham Mail.

The loss was the fifth defeat in a row for Sherwood's side and there were reports that owner Randy Lerner and CEO Tom Fox were waiting to see the results of the Chelsea and Swansea matches before making a decision on whether to sack Sherwood or not.

The two losses have left Villa in 19th place, four points away from safety and with the potential of dropping to 20th or 5 points away from safety depending on the Sunderland vs Newcastle United match tomorrow.

In his post-match press conference, Sherwood said "On Monday I will be working as hard as I did when I first came to this football club", adding that he believed that Villa would escape relegation.
