Aston Villa have made their second loan signing of the season by bringing Manchester City's Scott Sinclair in for the remainder of the season. Earlier, it was reported that Sinclair had passed his medical at Bodymoor Heath which has led to today's loan signing. The loan deal will favour Aston Villa who have nothing to lose with this new addition to the squad. Should Sinclair impress Villa, then the loan can be made permanent with a small £2 million fee, which could be a huge steal for Aston Villa should Sinclair decide to turn back the clock and play like he did at Swansea City. The exact details of the move are still pending.

Scott Sinclair will look to impress at Villa, where he can actually get a place in the starting XI (unlike Manchester City). If he does find the form that he is capable of, it would be another case of a bright young English talent finding their feet in Birmingham. If all goes sour, Villa can just wash their hands of him at the expiry of the loan deal, which they may well do with Sinclair's fellow loan signing, Tom Cleverley.

The singing of Sinclair combined with the Gil transfer shows Lambert is attempting to add flair and creativity to his Aston Villa team. If Villa can complete a few more deals to add a tiny bit of depth to the squad, we could see a few more goals and more importantly, points on the board. Dare I say that things are finally turning a corner?

EDIT: For whatever reason, AVFC have still to confirm the move.. even though there's a set of pictures that would suggest the move has been completed floating around twitter.
