The signing of Scott Sinclair looks to be charging ahead amid previous rumours that the deal was dead in the water. The MEN and our friends at Bitter & Blue have both stated that Sinclair has arrived in Birmingham and passed his medical ahead of a move back to the midlands.

Villa are set to sign the winger on loan until the end of the season and should he impress Paul Lambert and Tom Fox enough, there is an option to purchase the player for £2 million. Little is known of the wage situation right now, but after talk of Sinclair's wages being too high for Aston Villa, this new deal would hint that AVFC have gotten their way (for once).

It's another fantastic move from Aston Villa who won't have much to lose if Sinclair repeats his form from his loan spell at West Bromwich, but will also grab a bargain if Sinclair decides to look like the player he was at Swansea City.
