The BBC have today announced that they will showcase the Midlands F.A Cup clash between Aston Villa and Leciester City for live television coverage,

No doubt influenced by the 'size' of the match and Villa's reasonably exciting performance in the fourth round, the game will be shown live on BBC One from 12.30PM GMT on Sunday the 15th of February. This will be Villa's first televised F.A Cup match this year and will likely be a landmark game for AVFC, who seem to be turning the corner.

If Villa progress into the next round, they could find themselves facing former cup nemesis Bradford City or even book a trip to Old Trafford or Arsenal. The tie that Aston Villa fans are hoping for though, is a clash with West Bromwich Albion who need to see off West Ham United in order to progress.

So if you're in the U.K this is massive news for Villa fans who want to see a game 'legally' (and those U.S ones who know their way around a VPN). Make sure you're available to either get down to the ground or watch the match as Aston Villa will likely need all the support they can get to finally decide the 'Leicester vs Villa' series which has been split at one game a piece so far this season.
