Villa Player Ratings: vs Crystal Palace FC

Two Victorian clubs battle in the most boring game of 2015 so far.

Aston Villa managed to get held to a second successive 0-0 draw against another team they should be putting away. This match rating will be a massacre.

GK: Brad Guzan: 6

Made a great header to stop Bolasie and was his usual self. That means poor distribution which he will need to work on.

DL: Aly Cissokho: 7

Better this time around, a lot. His crossing and general play had stepped up since the match with Sunderland.

DC1: Ron Vlaar: N/A

Broke himself again. Won't be sold in January if the injury is serious. If Clark is fit, Villa won't miss Concrete Ron too much.

DC2: Jores Okore: 6

Bit quiet, but that's good form for a CB in a home game. If you hear his name too often, he is being skinned or sent off.

DR: Alan Hutton: 6

Should have taken his chance better, but you can't blame him for that. Hutton's overlapping runs need to be matched by the forwards.

M1: Carlos Sánchez: 8

'The Rock' was solid once again. Deserved his man of the match award.

M2: Leandro Bacuna: 6

Nothing special from the Dutchman. He is the best set-piece man we have right now and was a danger from a few of them. Villa cannot create chances right now, which skyrockets his value to the team - even if he doesn't play well.

M3: Tom Cleverley: 4

Did nothing today, will have to do a lot more to justify a permanent move.

W1: Gabby Agbonlahor: 4

You want to hear his name a lot when you're watching it. Villa had a chance until Agbonlahor's first touch let us down. Again.

W2: Andi Weimann: 5

Actually did things today, which is surprising. Looks a lot better when he comes off of the bench, which says it all.

F: Christian Benteke: 5

Missed every chance he had - needs to show a lot more composure! How can he look so timid against Crystal Palace and so dominant against Manchester United?

Substitutes:

Ciaran Clark: 6

Handled Dwight Gayle very well towards the end and was unlucky to get booked.

Jack Grealish: 6

A few dangerous runs and not much else from Grealish. I'd like to see what he can do against Blackpool this Sunday

Joe Cole: N/A

Didn't see much of him in this match, so wouldn't be fair to judge!
