Can Carles Gil help Aston Villa beat Liverpool?

On this week's Holtecast, we talk about Aston Villa transfer news, their defeat to Leicester City, the pending protest, and this weekend's match against Liverpool.

Jack and Robert are back this week! Wait, no. Jack is busy doing important things, so Robert is back this week! But to prevent you from having to hear me drone on by myself for a while, we've brought in our very own Adam Clark to make his first Holtecast appearance. And what a time to join!

We've got a recap of the dreadful Leicester City match, a look at Aston Villa's limited action in the transfer window, some talk of new boy Carles Gil, the big protest planned [takes a huge breath] AND of course the Liverpool match set for this weekend. We ALSO end up taking some listener questions. To wit:

@PMcCarthy1994: how do you feel about the planned "protest"? And do you think Gil can bring something new to the table for Villa this season?

@GrasMadd: Is one signing enough for January or could we see another?

@ChasSuplexRad: Who'd be a better captain than Gabby? I'd like Westwood but Clark is good too.

@Tweets_of_Dave: Does Gabby still have a place in the team going forward? To me he doesn't seem interested and isn't effective.

@Jamorushton: How do you follow Villa from Chile?

Thanks, as always, for listening. If you want to get your questions answered, shoot us a tweet to @7500toHolte when we call for them, or add the hashtag #Holtecast and we'll hopefully see them! You can watch us below or listen on any podcasting service you can find. Until next week, UTV!
