What does one do when there is a man of the match poll to be run and no one really deserving of the title? Well, run it anyways of course! Despite the loss and the poor play by some Villans, a few actually did perform pretty well today. They can't all be Carlos Sanchez. Gabby Agbonlahor had a few good runs, and Tom Cleverley was delivering set pieces with aplomb. And... well... there was a stomach bug that made everyone sick?
Listen, I'm not sure what we can really say here. The first 30 minutes were great, but again Villa couldn't score at all, and that ended up being the doom. The scoreline doesn't really reflect the match at all, but it still hurts to see. I've given you a smattering of the better performers below, and if we're honest I'm sure we can find someone worth of this prestigious award.
