So, with just 3 games left-including this one-and 5 points seperating themselves and the bottom three, here's a look at what Villa fans should be rooting for today.
Hull vs. Fulham: Hull. As nice as it would be to finish as high as possible, Fulham are probably the single-biggest remaining threat to Villa's safety and even a point would keep things just a little too close for comfort.
West Brom vs. West Ham: West Ham. Because of the relegation battle first and foremost, but also for...other reasons.
Man United vs. Norwich: United. See above.
Sunderland vs. Cardiff: Draw, with a Sunderland win the second most desirable outcome. The sooner Cardiff are eliminated the better (for Villa) and thanks to Sunderland's game-in-hand their odds of staying up are better than they might appear. Still, a point a piece would be ideal.
