Paul Lambert will have a full squad to choose from when Stoke City come to visit Villa Park on Sunday. In a nice bit of news, Karim El Ahmadi says that his shin is feeling just fine after Chelsea's Ramire's stamped it in the waning minutes of the 1-0 Aston Villa victory. El Ahmadi has been quietly becoming one of Villa's better players, confidently controlling the midfield and augmenting the work that Fabian Delph is doing. His presence in the lineup will certainly be good news for the club.
In other bright spots, Gabby Agbonlahor is also doing fine after a calf strain that forced him to come off for Marc Albrighton in the second half of the aforementioned win over Chelsea. (In case you can't tell, I'm going to be mentioning that as often as I can for the rest of the season.) In retrospect, I think that we can all thank Gabby's calf for it's contribution to the win, as it was the quick back-and-forth with Albrighton that led to Fabian Delph's goal. That said, it's certainly good to know that Agbonlahor will be available against Stoke as Villa look to secure three straight home victories for the first time since 2007.
Given that we know everyone will be available, who would you pick for the starting XI if you were Paul Lambert on Sunday? Let us know in the comments!
