Paul Lambert will have a full squad from which to choose for this weekend's visit from Norwich City. Ashley Westwood and Ryan Bertrand, the only injury doubts coming into today, have both been declared fit. Westwood has a solid performance against Newcastle last weekend, and his departure with a dead leg in the second half marked the beginning of the end for Villa. He had been - surprisingly (?) - controlling the midfield quite well, and had a lot to do with Villa's defense having a fairly easy time of things. When he was replaced with Yacouba Sylla things went swiftly downhill and the late goal from Newcastle was only surprising in that it didn't come sooner. It will certainly be a relief to know that Sylla shouldn't even have a chance at being considered to start on Sunday.
Bertrand apparently had a viral infection coming into the Newcastle match, which explains his mysterious departure in the second half. He's recovered fully from that now and seems the likely first-choice in left-back for Villa.
