Everton vs. Aston Villa: Lineups and open match thread

Join us as Aston Villa look to continue their run of good form against Everton!

Ben Hoskins

Aston Villa enter today's match at Goodison Park sitting in 10th place on the Premier League table. Barring some insane goal-differential magic, there is no way they leave the weekend any differently. Nevertheless, a point or three today would do wonders to continue to separate Aston Villa from the bottom-half-of-the-table pack. And given Villa's form lately, there would be no better time to beat an Everton side weakened by injury than now.

The Toffees will be missing Romelu Lukaku. Sylvain Distin will be making a surprise start, given that he was ruled out earlier in the week. Seamus Coleman, too, was ruled out but finds himself on the bench. Villa, on the other hand, are on missing Gabby Agblonlahor. It's a chance for Aston Villa to make a little noise and continue their nice run of form. Lineups are below, and please join us in the comments!
