Was Richardson's red against WBA justified? Watch and judge

Watch the tackle that got the Villa man sent off

The match against West Bromwich Albion took an unexpected turn in the 21st minute. Kieran Richardson went in with a reckless challenge on Stephane Sessegnon and referee Mike Dean decided that it was worthy of a red. It was a pretty bad challenge, as you can see here.

But what do you think? Was it worth of the red card that could totally change the face of this derby? Thus far, the Baggies have been unable to capitalize on their one-man advantage thanks to a woeful attack, but Villa aren't covering themselves in glory either

It's been a bad day for the Villa midfield in general. Tom Cleverley was just awarded a yellow as the first half was winding down. That's his fifth this season, and so it seems likely that both he and Richardson will be missing Aston Villa's next match.
