Vlaar's replacement could come from Baggies, international recap, and youth success

We've got your Aston Villa news and headlines for Monday, 17 November 2014.

Not a ton in the world of Aston Villa this weekend, but certainly enough to get a quick video out of things! We've got three main headlines we're taking a look at today:

  • Paul Lambert has found Ron Vlaar's replacement: You know. If Vlaar leaves, and if Paul Lambert can pull the trigger, and if the money is available, and if this rumour has any truth to it. If all of that works out, then we can probably expect to see West Bromwich Albion's Jonas Olsson some time in January. But that's a lot of ifs.
  • The international break from being interesting: Well, to be fair, most Villans haven't been interesting at all this year, so the lack of anything exciting from the international break should hardly come as a surprise.
  • U12s do something good: The AVFC U12 team finished in the top 8 in the Christmas Truce Tournament National Qualifying Tournament. And they beat West Ham while they were at it! Hooray to them!
