After recent worries about how Villa's major players will be leaving at the end of the year in some sort of gross Black Friday Birmingham style, Ron Vlaar has come out with some enlightening stuff.
According to the Birmingham Mail and The Daily Star, Ron Vlaar has said he has heard nothing from outsiders about moving clubs. He also goes on to say that the only transfer talk he has had, is with Villa boss Paul Lambert. This is particularly good news, especially after the words and rumours concerning himself and Fabian Delph.
Dutch club captain Vlaar is also backed up by Villa keeper Brad Guzan, who went on record to tell the world that Vlaar is committed to Aston Villa and his only focus is grabbing more points for the Birmingham club. Guzan also said that Paul Lambert is working hard to motivate the team, who are facing a brick wall of adversity right now.
Whilst I wouldn't take these words as gospel, it is good to finally hear something positive after a few months of bad news after bad news.
