Villa dealt blow with injury setback to striker

Aston Villa's Libor Kozak had to undergo another operation this week, and won't be making his season debut anytime soon.

One of the only downsides to the beginning of Aston Villa's season has been the fact that the club can't seem to score. But with a stout defense, most of us have been okay knowing that Christian Benteke and Libor Kozak would be back soon to help bolster the attack. Unfortunately, while the news on Benteke has been great, Paul Lambert made it known today that Kozak has had to undergo another operation to help fix the leg he broke back in January. We've been hearing for a few weeks now that Kozak was close to rejoining the club, but this latest news seems to cast doubt on him coming back anytime soon.

There's no word on what, exactly, the operation was. It may have been something minor, but given the lack of news and the fact that Paul Lambert didn't put any timeline on a return, I'd expect Kozak to be out for a while longer. Maybe we'll get to see the Czech striker by Boxing Day, but who knows. Get better soon, Libor. We miss you!
