Notts County take Jack Grealish on loan

The Aston Villa attacker is set to join the League 1 side in time for their match against MK Dons on Saturday.

Jack Grealish is having a busy week. He celebrated his 18th birthday on Tuesday, came on as a substitute in the Republic of Ireland U21 match against Germany, and now is set to pack up and move to Nottingham. The young Aston Villa attacker is going on loan to Notts County, where he'll join teammate Enda Stevens.

The Magpies are looking to inject some fresh blood into a side that has taken just one point from five matches, leaving them last in League 1. Notts County might be dead last in the table, but there are some other rather dismal clubs in the division, and a win could lift them into the safety spots. They face Samir Carruthers' MK Dons tomorrow, which sounds like a whole lotta fun.

But seriously, it's great for Grealish to get this kind of experience. He's performed very well with Villa's youth sides, and was an integral part of the NextGen sides of the past two years. Grealish also found minutes in the friendly against Wycombe and scored against Walsall this summer. The loan should give the club a greater idea of just what he needs to succeed.
