Injury concerns for Aston Villa's League Cup match against Rotherham United

Aside from three defenders, Aston Villa look healthy for tomorrow's second round match against Rotherham United in the Capital One League Cup.

Paul Lambert won't have too many constraints when picking a starting XI for tomorrow's League Cup match against Rotherham United. At least he won't until he hits the back line. Nathan Baker, Ciaran Clark, and Antonio Luna are all injury concerns heading into tomorrow's match, though they are the only three on the team. We knew about the injuries to Baker and Clark, but hearing about Tony Moon is a bit surprising. Even the official report from the club lists the injury as "unspecified." While that's a bit concerning, we didn't see anything too severe, so I wouldn't be too worried.

As a reminder, Baker has and ankle strain and Clark still has the laceration he received in the Chelsea match. Otherwise, Lambert will have a full squad to choose from, including Chris Herd and Yacouba Sylla, who are both looking to see their first action of the 2013-14 campaign.

It will be interesting to see who Lambert chooses, honestly. On the one hand, it's a chance to rest a lot of the regular first-choice players. On the other, they'll have plenty of time off after the match. The fact that it is a home affair against a League One side will certainly play into the decision as well. We'll just have to see what happens tomorrow. You'll be able to find lineups and a match thread right here, by the way, so be sure to check in!
