Preseason Match Report: Okore possibly injured in draw

Aston Villa traveled to Germany today and met up with an apparently fierce opponent.

Aston Villa had their first preseason match today in their trip to Germany. They faced SV Roedinghausen in a friendly and came away with a 1-1 draw that saw both goals scored in the second half. Nicklas Helenius scored Aston Villa's lone goal and I'm sure I could find the name of the scorer from Rodinghausen, but it would be meaningless to everyone reading this.

The match was really hard to follow, thanks largely in part to audio issues on AVTV, so I'm relying mostly on tweets from the match for information. After running out one lineup in the first half, the whole side changed for the second. Apparently, according to Mat Kendrick, Helenius as well as Jores Okore and Aleksander Tonev looked pretty good for the claret and blue.

Towards the end of the match, the live-text updates on the official site mentioned Jores Okore "hobbling off," which would be very typical Aston Villa news. Hopefully it was just a little knock and he's doing alright.

1st Half Lineup: Guzan, Vlaar, Baker, Bacuna, Albrighton, Delph, Sylla, Bowery, Tonev, Bennett, Herd.

2nd Half Lineup: Steer, Lowton, Okore, Clark, El Ahmadi, Helenius, Agbonlahor, Luna, Westwood, Weimann, Gardner.
