Pictures from Aston Villa's 1-2 victory over Norwich City

Gallery of pictures from the Aston Villa victory at Carrow Road on May 4, 2013.

Aston Villa's trip to Carrow Road was Paul Lambert's second return to his former stomping grounds. Like the first time, Villa would return from Norwich having gained a massive victory. Unlike the first time, however, this victory likely means that Villa have secured safety for the year, and sit currently in 13th in the English Premier League.

The match was unbearably dull in the first half, but the second half saw three goals, including the eventual winner - and Gabriel Agbonlahor's brace - with seventy seconds of regulation time left in the match. It was a tense affair for fans of both teams, but Villa definitely deserved the three points. Were it not for a boneheaded decision by Joe Bennett, the outcome would have likely been less in doubt.

Though there weren't as many astonishing photos as came from the match against Sunderland, I've put together a gallery of the best of the day. All photos are courtesy of Mark Thompson, of Getty Sports.
