The way that the group pots are set up for the World Cup draw, the US will probably have a tricky road to the knockout stages. This is because they are arguably the strongest team in the weakest pot, so that doesn't bode well based on how the draw is made. I like this link because they have percentages of the strength of the groups they are likely to be drawn into.
