One month loan for Marc Albrighton

The 23 year old joins Wigan Athletic on loan from Aston Villa, and could be thrown right in against QPR in Wednesday night's match.

As mentioned in the 7500 daily news update, Owen Coyle had an interest in taking Marc Albrighton on loan at Wigan Athletic. Now, it seems that hot little rumor has become a reality, with the AVFC Official Site confirming the move.

We've spilled a lot of ink about how Albrighton desperately needs to go on loan to showcase himself before his contract expires at the end of the season. The injury-plagued winger hasn't had much of a chance under Paul Lambert, so a loan spell in the Championship could help him find his form -- even if it doesn't lead to a renewal with Aston Villa, which would be tragic in and of itself and let's not keep thinking about that.

Unfortunately for Marc, the loan spell lasts just a month. But he could be thrown into the action straight away, as Wigan host Queens Park Rangers tonight. I think I can speak for all of us here at 7500 to Holte, as well as the vast majority of the Villa fan base, by wishing all the best to Albrighton. He was a bright spark in a dismal, dismal time, he's got the heart of a true Villa fan and it would be wonderful if he could regain his form.
