International Betting Recap: It wasn't pretty.

Not everyone took place in the latest round of the 7500 to Holte betting pool. Unfortunately for those who did, we all ended up losing money, in some cases due to strange results (Portugal drawing Israel at home), and other times not so much (Bosnia beating Lichtenstein at home).

Jack

Net loss: 2€. Money now available: 30.84€

Denmark vs. Italy: I decided it would be a good idea to choose an already qualified Italy to beat Denmark, but Nicklas Bendtner had other ideas and scored two goals and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Colombia vs. Chile: again, a bet I thought that would be fairly safe, but when Colombia found themselves down 3 goals to 0 at home after 30 minutes, it was fairly amazing that they were able to pull it back to a 3-3 draw.

Kirsten

Net loss: 3€. Money now available: 27.56€.

Bosnia beat Lichtenstein 4-1, and England beat Montenegro, also 4-1. Kirsten elected to try and make a big return with both of her single bets and elected for a fairly safe three-fold accumulator that busted when Colombia couldn’t overcome Chile at home. The USA did come good and Greece vs. Slovakia was the expected borefest and ended 1-0 in favor of the Greeks, with the only goal coming from a Martin Skrtel backpass that went straight under the keeper’s foot.

Robert:

Net loss: 2€. Money now available: 15€.

Robert was unlucky at the bookies yet again, however he was let down by Portugal when they conceded a rather terrible goal at home against Israel despite playing better the whole match. The Czechs dispatched Malta as expected, and despite only winning 2-0 Spain were in the driver’s seat the entire match against Belarus.

Lets hope we have some better luck next time. Let us know in the comments if you had any winners!
