West Bromwich Albion vs. Aston Villa: Open match thread

If we all huddle together for warmth, we might be able to make it through the winter.

Clive Mason

Well, here we are again, all together to watch and talk about Aston Villa football club. Why do we do this? What motivation do we have? If I wasn't so incredibly lazy and uninterested in my own future, I'd go back to school and work towards a doctorate just so I could come to some sociological conclusion about this kind of irrational behavior.

Thee early results could have been worse, but they could have been much better. At the start of play, Aston Villa sit in 19th place thanks to a late Adam Le Fondre goal to give Reading a 2-1 win over Newcastle. QPR somehow managed to grind out a 1-1 draw against West Ham despite spending the majority of the second half clearing balls off the line, bringing them to within four points of Villa. In better news, Sunderland hung on for a 3-2 victory over Wigan, keep them level with Villa on points.

That w're having to talk about all of this stuff once again is depressing. UTV.
