Almost none of us got to see the League Cup Third Round match between Manchester City and Aston Villa yesterday. That said, videos of the goals are floating around and I thought it might be enjoyable for everyone if we got to see them. You know, because Aston Villa beat Manchester City at Etihad.
I will never get tired of that.
The Gareth Barry own goal that allowed Aston Villa to pull even at 1-1:
Gabby Agbonlahor's first goal, which forced extra time by tying the match at 2-2:
Charles N'Zogbia scores the first goal in extra time, this was the eventual winner of course. This is probably my favorite of the lot, and that's because of what we don't see in the gif. The ball was in a position to be played thanks largely in part to a beautiful kick by Shay Given.
And finally, Gaby scores his brace and takes the match totally out of reach of City.
