The past week has been absolutely insane in terms of transfers, so we thought it would be helpful to get a complete list of what has happened with the team since Paul Lambert has arrived. At some point we'll be rating these moves, but for now this is just a place to take it all in. And there is a lot to take in.
Players Brought In:
- Brett Holman (Technically brought in by McLeish) - from AZ Alkmaar (story)
- Karim El Ahmadi - from Feyenoord (story)
- Matthew Lowton - from Sheffield United (story)
- Brad Guzan - released earlier and re-signed (story)
- Ron Vlaar - from Feyenoord (story)
- Michael Henke (Head of European Scouting. Yes I know this isn't a transfer, but it's worth remembering)
- Joseph Bennett - from Middlesbrough (story)
- Jordan Bowery - from Chesterfield (story)
- Christian Benteke - from Genk (story)
- Ashley Westwood - from Crewe Alexandra (story)
Players Sent Away:
- James Collins - to West Ham United (story)
- Jean Makoun - to Rennes (story)
- Nathan Delfouneso - loan to Blackpool (story)
Players Still Inexplicably Here:
- Stephen Warnock
- Alan Hutton
Minus those last two lines, it's hard to argue that this was a pretty good summer window. It also represents a pretty wholesale reformation of the team. Paul Lambert came and Randy Lerner gave him the means to craft a team that he wanted. Now we get to see what the gaffer can do with what he made.
