Aston Villa are chasing after West Ham player (and captain of the universe) Scott Parker. We all know Parker had an excellent season and if the Irons had had anyone else approaching his talent, they may have managed to stay up. Alas, they are down in the Championship and the midfielder is ready to move on.
Apparently, though, Turkish club Fenerbahce is not good enough for Parker, at least not according to the Daily Mirror, which is of course one of the most reliable news sources around. Considering that Fener actually win titles, maybe he should reconsider this supposed offer.
Then again, maybe Scotty has a bit of an issue with change. Perhaps sticking with claret and blue would simply make things easier for him. The question is, do we want Parker? £5m is not a ton of money, but his salary could be. Rumors also persist that Villa are continuing their pursuit of Charles N'Zogbia, with a £9m bid in the works. Let's just field an entire team of midfielders, shall we?Seriously, buy a keeper, buy a defender, and then I won't be so gosh darn cranky.
