Yeah, yeah, we're late on the news but I found the story of Shower-Boy refusing to move to Aston Villa slightly more entertaining than Eric Lichaj remaining on loan to Leeds United through the end of the Championship season. But on the off chance you haven't heard, Lichaj re-upped his loan at Leeds, staying through May 7, although the Villa have the option of a 24 hour recall. Which might be necessary, considering that Richard Dunne will likely never play a game in claret and blue again (unless West Ham want him. Come to think of it, he'd fit in there), Carlos Cuellar is as fragile as spun sugar and James Collins was both an idiot and has a calf injury.
What's that? You say Eric Lichaj doesn't play central defense? You mean there's a difference between full back and center back? Oh, geez, now I have to stop getting my news of Aston Villa idiocy from Twitter. They all told me we're screwed because we let Lichaj go out on loan.
Anyway, Lichaj remains at Leeds for a couple more months, hoping to get them into the top flight by the time the Championship season is through. He's likely also hoping to console Barry Bannan, now that he's away from Marc Albrighton and everything. That's an opportunity that no one could pass up. Although if Lichaj gets called up for the U.S. Men's National Team friendly against Argentina, Baz may have to go at it on his own.
