Aston Villa News Review: Ashley Young On Ashley Young

The international break seems like the longest stretch of time ever. I want some club football back. Just five days til Chelsea. Yay! Right? Right? No one is scared about that. Anyway, normal coverage will resume today. Sorry about the lack of posts recently but there just hasn't been much out there.

More On Ashley Young: This interview appears to include pieces of the presser I posted yesterday, although this time with the benefit of knowing the questions. Ash is seemingly level-headed, but we might presume that should he find plenty of playing time on Tuesday, he'll be more likely to sign that new Villa contract. Ash-o-meter is sitting at a serene green. Let's hope it remains so after the match against Montenegro.

Marc Albrighton Won't Play In Second Round Of U21s: Albrighton is ruled out of the second leg of the England U21s with a groin injury. Are groin injuries contagious like dead legs? Did Gabby pass his on? Anyway, U21s travel to Romania on Tuesday and if they win, they're in the finals.

Alexander Hleb Moans About Birmingham City: It's always fun to start off a Monday with an article about how horrible the bluenoses are--but it's even better when the griping is coming from the player that so astonished everyone when the club pulled him in at the end of the transfer window.

Exeter City Draw Plymouth Argyle: The Grecians have drawn their biggest rivals in the next round of the Johnstone Paint Trophy, which is pretty much like Villa drawing Birmingham City in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup.
