The Aston Villa Protest Group have today announced further action to be taken against the ownership of Aston Villa.
During Aston Villa's next home game against Bournemouth (this Saturday at 3PM GMT), the AVPG are asking fans to not enter their seats until the 7th minute of the game.
"Following on from the successful demonstrations against Everton and Chelsea we are again calling on you our fellow supporters to join us in protest. We are asking you to refrain from entering the terraces until 7 minutes after KO this Saturday vs Bournemouth. We also encourage you to join with your fellow supporters in the concourse to make a strong visual and vocal statement that as a fan base we are very much united in our pursuit of answers and positive action from our absent owner."
This is to reflect the apathy of Aston Villa's owner Randy Lerner, and to also commemorate the seven league titles that Aston Villa have accumulated since their founding.
'Seats on 7' follows the request that fans walk out the door during the 74th minute of Villa's game against Everton and the even more successful follow up, in which banners were held up in the 74th minute of Aston Villa's last game against Chelsea.
You can find out more on the group's site here.
It remains to be seen what will come of this new action, but at the very least, it gives everyone something other to talk about.
