Aston Villa Podcast: How in the world did we lose to Fulham? And a look ahead to Crystal Palace

Stu Forster

Jack and Robert are back to talk more Aston Villa in this week's Holtecast.

I just want to clear the air here: neither Jack nor I predicted a Villa win last weekend, so you can't blame that on us. That said, we've got to talk about that match at least a little, so we try to figure out just what made for such a poor showing from Aston Villa? Are Fulham actually a sneakily good side, or were Villa just that bad?

We're also going to talk a bit about Paul Lambert and his job security. The calls for his head are becoming louder, and while neither of us really want to see him go, it's becoming easier to see why there might be a case for his sacking.

And of course, we can't have a podcast without previewing this weekend's match against Crystal Palace. SB Nation don't have a Palace blog (yet), but we've got a huge fan in our system, Chris White. He can normally be found running Burgundy Wave, our site devoted to the Colorado Rapids of the MLS.

We'll almost certainly talk about other stuff, so be sure to join us when we go LIVE at 2 PM Eastern, 7 PM GMT. We'll have the Google Hangout embedded below, and if you can't listen live it'll be there in perpetuity. We'll also be sure to put the audio from today's show up on BlogTalk Radio from which you can subscribe to the podcast using any service around.

If you've got any questions for us today, don't hesitate to drop them into the comments!
