Napoli blogger linked to Aston Villa site

Giuseppe Bellini

SB Nation has a new blog all about Napoli. And it's helmed by our very own Kirsten Schlewitz!

Here's a move that a lot of us likely didn't see coming. One of Aston Villa's very best bloggers has made a unique transfer to Serie A side Napoli. 7500 to Holte's own Kirsten Schlewitz will now be blogging in two leagues simultaneously, as she has opened her newest venture The Siren's Song, SB Nation's new Napoli blog.

Schlewitz is looking forward to her newest venture, and when reached for comment, she had this to say:

To a Napoli side starved for good bloggers, Schlewitz brings sharp writing and an eye for players who are pleasing on the, well, eye. She has also promised coverage of Marek Hamsik's glasses.

What does this mean for the Aston Villa blog transfer market? Luckily for 7500 to Holte and its readers, Schlewitz will still be writing here. So we've got absolutely nothing to worry about. Nevertheless, the blog is still looking for a talented center back on the market, and this doesn't change things at all.

On a more serious note, congrats to Kirsten on this long-awaited opening. As you know from reading what she has done here, she's a phenomenal writer. If you've got even a passing interest in Serie A or Napoli, make sure to bookmark the Siren's Song. If nothing else, it's another place to see her breakdown as yet another football club toys with her emotions every week.
